Hammond-Henry Hospital Launches Telehealth

April 20, 2020

Hammond-Henry Hospital introduces Telehealth. Fueled by the current shelter-in-place environment, Telehealth offers patients another option to the traditional office visit. While all Hammond-Henry offices remain open and available to see patients face-to-face, Telehealth provides an online option.  With a smartphone, tablet, or computer with webcam and microphone, a patient can discuss their needs virtually face-to-face.

For individuals experiencing symptoms of flu, cold, fever, sore throat, rash, sinus issues, allergies, pink eye, cold sores and more, relief could be a phone call away.  The first step is reaching out to the local family practice clinics in Cambridge, Geneseo, Kewanee or Port Byron via phone. When appropriate, a Telehealth appointment will be arranged, and directions for connecting provided.

This service will be available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm.  Hammond-Henry will bill insurance for the appointment and there are no up-front fees.

Telehealth gives patients more options. Individuals should call to discuss their specific symptoms. A provider will determine if a Telehealth visit is right for you. All Hammond-Henry Hospital Clinics are also open to serve your healthcare needs, in the office. If an individual is experiencing cough, fever or shortness of breath, (symptoms of COVID-19), they should call the Respiratory Symptom Hotline at 309-944-9198. More information about COVID-19 and the Respiratory Symptom Screening Clinic Drive-Thru can be found at hammondhenry.com
